Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information may be collected through ritadennison.com, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors.
Effective July 8, 2026.
Who is responsible for this website
ritadennison.com is operated by Stoneburn Trading Limited, the publisher of Rita Dennison's books. For anything in this policy, including any privacy question or request, email hello@ritadennison.com.
Information you choose to provide
When you request a free gift, join Rita's email list, or use the contact form, the website may collect your first name, email address, and the information you include in your message.
How information is used
Information is used to deliver requested gifts, send occasional emails with gift ideas, puzzles, tips for later life, and new-book news, and respond to messages. It is also used to keep the website secure and to understand which pages are useful to visitors. Email signups are processed with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. Website security and aggregate statistics rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
How long information is kept
Subscriber details are kept while you remain subscribed, then removed from the active list after you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to consider and respond to them.
Email service
Email subscriptions and free-gift delivery are managed through MailerLite. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. MailerLite may process subscriber information according to its own privacy terms.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are processed by Netlify, the website's hosting provider, and delivered to Rita's email.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and does not use any analytics or visitor-tracking service. The only item stored on your device is a small timestamp that remembers you closed the email signup window, so it does not reappear on every visit.
Where information is processed
Information is handled by Stoneburn Trading Limited and by the services named above, some of which may process it outside the country where you live. Appropriate safeguards are used for any such transfer, as required by data protection law.
Amazon and external links
Book links lead to Amazon or another external website. Those services have their own privacy practices. Stoneburn Trading Limited does not receive affiliate commission from the Amazon links on this website.
Your rights and choices
You may unsubscribe from email at any time. You can also ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, deleted, restricted, or supplied to you, or object to how it is used, by emailing hello@ritadennison.com. If you are in the United Kingdom and are unhappy with how a request was handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you are elsewhere, you can raise a concern with the data protection authority in your own country.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and no information is knowingly collected from them.
Policy updates
This policy will be reviewed when website services change. The effective date shown at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
